TAD Pioneer S-2EX speaker (no stand)

The TAD Pioneer S-2EX is a premium compact speaker with TAD CST coaxial driver technology, intended for audiophile stereo systems and precise near-/midfield listening. The model is designed for flawless coherence of sound sources with high resolution and linearity in a wide frequency range.

Sound characteristics

The S-2EX provides a very coherent and precise presentation, with exceptionally clear treble and a stable stereo image thanks to the CST solution. The midrange is neutral and detailed, with excellent microdynamics and natural vocals. Bass is fast and controlled, with good extension for monitor form, without thickening or coloring in the upper bass.

Compatibility and application

It is optimally combined with stable transistor amplifiers (A/B or high-quality D-class) that can handle 4–6 Ω load well, as well as more powerful tube amplifiers (≥40–60 W) with careful output selection. Strong, acoustically inert stands 55–65 cm high, slightly angled towards the listener and away from the rear wall due to the bass-reflex port are recommended.

Condition and maintenance

Condition: used, excellent. No stand. Visually and functionally neat, without signs of excessive use; all drivers work properly. No modifications noted; regularly maintained and carefully used. Recommendation: periodic cleaning of dust with a dry microfiber cloth and control of the tightening torque of the cabinet screws.
